Originally from Port Elizabeth, she began her career in the corporate world but quickly realised her true calling lay in the world of wine.
Graduating from the University of Port Elizabeth with a BA in Media and Communications, she transitioned into the wine industry and found her niche as a sales representative for Meridian Wines in Durban. It was here that her passion for wine was ignited, leading her to establish her own successful wine agency, Wine Whispers.
Embracing the vineyard lifestyle, she and her husband now reside in the picturesque Hemel en Aarde Valley, where they represent renowned wineries such as Gabrielskloof, Crystallum, Momento, and Creation. As a Cape Wine Master, she is dedicated to expanding her knowledge and expertise in the industry, with a focus on promoting South African wines, particularly those from the Overberg, on an international stage.
Currently serving as the National Sales Manager and Key Export Account Manager for Gabrielskloof, she also extends her expertise through Wine Whispers, catering to the local Overberg trade with a passion for working with like-minded individuals who share her love for wine and the industry as a whole with a vision to shine the spotlight on South African wines globally.

The study analises South Africa’s market share and marketing opportunities within these nations. Additionally, it investigates branding, labelling requirements, and the challenges faced by South African wine exporters in these markets. By providing case studies and discussing trends, sustainability, and competition, the dissertation aims to identify strategies for enhancing the presence of South African wines in the Nordic region.
